Year 5 ventured to Grenville House in Brixham for their residential trip, where they got the chance to try out lots of fun activities including abseiling, canoeing and climbing.
Eden Park Primary School
For their science topic, Year 5 researched Alessandro Volta; the inventor of the first battery. The children had the opportunity to build giant circuits and investigate the effects of voltage on the brightness of their bulbs.
Eggbuckland Vale Primary School
Thank you to the Devon Fire & Rescue Service who visited Year 2 to talk about the importance of fire and water safety, and allowed the children to try on some of their firefighting uniform.
Leigham Primary School
The school recently celebrated Book Week and were thrilled to receive many donations of pre-loved books from their families. It was wonderful to see the children share their favourite books with other classes to celebrate a love of reading.
Manadon Vale Primary School
Year 3 had a blast studying the Ancient Egyptians for their history topic, researching the pyramids, mummification, artefacts and hieroglyphics. The highlight was a themed day with traditional costumes which combined all their learning.
Preston Primary School
The Reception classes were excited to welcome a photographer into school to demonstrate her knowledge and skills. The children had a fantastic time taking turns using her camera equipment and exploring different lighting techniques. Thank you to Mrs Minifie for her time.
Thornbury Primary School
Reception class have been working on their fine motor skills by learning through play. The children enjoyed various sensory activities which will help to develop a range of critical abilities.
Widey Court Primary School
The children enjoyed a special visit from author and illustrator Clare Helen Walsh. She talked about how her stories are created and answered questions about the characters and plot. This was a memorable experience for the children which will boost their imagination and creativity in writing.
