Cockington Primary School

Cockington were the hosts for this week's Connect Council meeting. Children from our other Trust schools were excited to visit and trial the successful OPAL playground scheme at Cockington, followed by a discussion of how they can improve their own playtime experiences. The Connect Council represented their schools superbly.

Eden Park Primary School

Well done to the Year 5/6 girls football team who played amazingly in their final match of the season, winning 4-0 and placing second in the local league!

Eggbuckland Vale Primary School

Year 4 ventured to the Hoe and Barbican in Plymouth for their school trip, where they learned some interesting facts about the local landmark Smeaton's Tower.

Leigham Primary School

The children were joined by their grown-ups for a recent Learning Together session, where they produced some fabulous Andy Warhol inspired prints.

Manadon Vale Primary School

Year 2 enjoyed a visit from Bugs Life Parties for their science topic. The children were fascinated by the variety of creatures and demonstrated wonderful care and respect when handling the animals.

Preston Primary School

The Reception classes were visited by student doctors from Torbay Hospital, who talked to the children about their job, caring for others and how to keep our bodies healthy.

Thornbury Primary School

Year 2 have been practicing balance sequences for their gymnastic lessons, where the children demonstrated excellent coordination and teamwork skills.

Widey Court Primary School

Years 5/6 were visited by local police officers to discuss how to stay safe online. The children talked about how the internet is a fun way to keep up with friends, get creative and record memories, but can also pose a number of risks.
