Stay connected with a round-up of recent events and news from schools in the Connect family.

Eden Park Primary & Nursery School

We are extremely proud of Daisy in Year 1, who has raised an impressive £405 after cutting her hair for The Little Princess Trust. Well done, Daisy!

Well done to the school’s newly formed Year 5/6 football team, who recently competed in a local tournament. Despite the team not having the success they were hoping for, we were extremely proud of their resilience, teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. We look forward to sharing the results of their future fixtures!

Manadon Vale Primary School

The school is fortunate to have their very own forest school area. Year 6 have been spending time there getting inspiration for a forest themed literacy project.

Year 3 have been inspired by Bonfire Night to create some fabulous firework art pieces!

Preston Primary School

The children in Foundation Stage love to look after the school animals, and recently visited the rabbit and guinea pigs to learn more about the responsibilities involved and how to take care of their environment.

A huge well done to the Preston Primary School Choir, who represented the school today at the Plymouth Vocal Festival.  They all performed amazingly well, scoring 86 marks out of 90, and were awarded a trophy, medal and certificate for their efforts.

Thornbury Primary School

Years 1 and 2 have started to explore new stories in literacy, following clues to make predictions. The children thought about how the objects might appear in a story and how they might be linked to each other. Can you guess from this picture what the next well-known story will be for Year 2?

Some of the children and staff have recently hopped into a time machine and travelled back to 1559, when Elizabeth I was Queen of England. The aim was to explore what life was like in the Tudor times, trying Tudor foods, singing songs and learning traditional dances. We were very impressed with the staff costumes!
